Born in Johannesburg South Africa, Wilco grew up in a middle-class home. In grade eight his family moved up north to a town called Polokwane (then Pietersburg), in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. This is also where he completed his high school education.
At the age of twenty-two Wilco purchased his first real estate investment, and in the same year started his first part-time business. At the age of twenty-four he was employed by an international company as branch manager where he headed up the sales team and administered the department’s finances and budget.
Days after turning twenty-five Wilco was inaugurated as a councillor at the local municipality where he served the next several years on the Land Use Management, -Spatial Planning, -and Finance Portfolio. Together they oversaw a R2 Billion budget.
Still in his twenties Wilco opened his 8th branch of his by now full-time business, and acquired his 5th residential real estate. He was now a dedicated property investor, and serious entrepreneur.
Although an avid writer since an early age, just before Wilco turned thirty, he felt the call of God on his life to help other people financially. And this is where the author in him came to life. He started writing a financial seminar – incorporating all his mistakes and successes in one document.
The year was 2018 when he hosted his first God & Money Financial Seminar, and the following year December his first book God & Geld was published. This book hit the shelves three months prior to the South African’s national Covid lockdown. The book is about money – how to apply and appropriate that which you already have.
Since then, Wilco published two more books, and founded several companies including his own Publishing Company, Business Consultancy Firm, Property Investment Corporation, Real Estate Agency, and an Online Art Gallery.
Currently Wilco spends most of his days consulting other businesses on how to apply God’s principles in the marketplace. He is also a financial coach where he weekly meets with a select few on turning their financial situation around. On the weekend you will find him travelling the country and either hosting breakthrough financial seminars, or disruptive, thought-provoking keynote presentations to organizations, churches or schools.
Wilco is married and has two children, and although most of his businesses are conducted in Gauteng and Cape Town, he lives a quiet life on an isolated farm in the Limpopo Province. You will however find him on most of the social media platforms, and off course, on the button below.
